"2b'Love" in Haifa - and in Ukrainian: from the Haifa City Integration Authority: August 14, 2025 - the main party of the summer from the creators of Happy New Hanukkah and Purim Game

August 14, 2025, the Haifa Integration Department is organizing “2b'Love” — a city party for the Day of Love (Tu Be-Av). Israeli artists perform repertoire in Ukrainian as well, and municipal announcements are also published in Ukrainian — NAnews — News of Israel explains why this is an important cultural signal.
Why this is done and how “2b'Love” differs from usual events
There are plenty of creative events in Israel, but initiatives that consistently introduce the Ukrainian language into the official urban context are few. “2b'Love” belongs to this rare category: not a chamber evening “for our own,” but a public event entered into the calendar of the Haifa Municipal Integration Department.
The organizers rely on three pillars.
The first — a professional stage for Israeli artists performing in Ukrainian (this time it’s BrusLi Band and DJ Yana Groisman).
The second — the presence of Ukrainian in official announcements on a par with Hebrew, Russian and English.
The third — institutional recognition: the city helps with logistics and pricing, not just “reposts” the poster.
Organizers and key figures
“The Organizers” are an entire collective. Among the key ones is Aleksey Demchenko. He lives in Haifa, originally from Kyiv.
His experience speaks for itself: Producer at KAN REKA (КАН РЭКА), the state radio for repatriates; Project Manager at PILAF FEST — turnkey festivals; founder of the initiative “КакиеЛюди • איזהאנשים”, which proved that multilingual city events can work in Haifa.
In the context of “2b'Love” Demchenko is a co-organizer and one of the hosts (together with Lena Blanky). His task is to connect the municipality, artists and the audience. He doesn’t claim “no one but us,” but emphasizes: projects where Ukrainian enters the official field are indeed few.

How the evening will be arranged
19:00 — doors open. Guests are greeted by the “Great Gatsby” dress code: not a strict requirement, but an invitation to feel the 1920s vibe. A welcome zone, first drinks, and a quick sense of who came to socialize and who just to listen.
19:30 — the concert part starts. Sets are short, the pace is tight.
Between performances — interactive segments: a “traffic light” dating system (bracelets in three colors from “not meeting” to “ready to chat”), mini-games and small quests led by Demchenko and Blanky.
The bar runs all evening, but rules of respectful behavior are stated in advance.
A photo zone styled as the “Roaring Twenties”: take a shot — get a digital copy for social media.
The main block wraps up around 23:00.
Then — an afterparty on the roof of Diana Hotel: quieter music, the sea closer, conversations longer. The “Party + Afterparty” package includes this stage.
Music program
Zero People — a side project of Animal ДжаZ musicians Aleksandr Krasovitsky and Aleksandr Zarankin. “Tri poloski”, “Chuvstva” — songs that became time markers for many.
BrusLi Band (Tel Aviv) — Israeli artists performing in Ukrainian. Charismatic Masha Brushnitskaya easily turns the hall into a cohesive community.
ARTERYspace / ArterySpase — the young rock scene of Haifa: here, supporting your own matters as much as a “big” name.
DJ Yana Groisman will close the night with a dance set: Ukrainian tracks alongside Israeli and global hits so everyone finds something for themselves.

Why this matters for Israel and Ukraine
The Ukrainian language in the official poster is not a decorative gesture. It’s recognition within the city space. There are few Israeli artists working in Ukrainian, and every stage for them is an event.
Israeli history teaches the value of identity and the right to be heard. The Ukrainian experience today is about similar things. Joint cultural projects become a bridge, not just entertainment. Affordable tickets and municipal support — that’s integration backed by action.
Mid-text it’s worth stressing: NAnews — News of Israel tracks such cases precisely because they show the real process of communities coming closer. And at the end we repeat: visit NAnews — News of Israel so you don’t miss posters and analysis that rarely reach mainstream media.
How to support
The easiest way is to come. Buy a ticket, invite friends, post on social networks. The visibility of the Ukrainian voice in Israel is built from concrete actions, not just the right words.
“2b'Love” is not just a party with a DJ and a dress code. It’s a cultural gesture confirming that the Ukrainian language and culture have a place in Israel’s public space. There are few projects at this level, but they prove the model works. Stage, symbolic prices, official announcements — all this turns a celebration into an integration tool.
NAnews — News of Israel regards this event as another step. When Ukrainian sounds from the stage in Israel, it’s not an accident, but the result of long work by people who believe languages and cultures can coexist without conflicts.
